Hey Dan, so as not to offend other [overtly hypocritical] readers of this livejournal, I won't say anything other than this:

I agree with your friend. He missed the opportunity to make alot of good points, however, and perhaps we can discuss it sometime.

and the last person to be quoting is Billy Joel, haha. He's an atheist, he doesn't even believe in sin.

ok I'm revoking my previous statement. Your friend needs to become better acquainted with The Bible. It states multiple times that you could sin your entire life, and repent a second before death and be forgiven and go to heaven. Making out with a random chick will not send you to hell. Wow, definitely not. However, absolute faith in God is necessary, so I reccomend you start working on it now, my dear Daniel, because well, you should live everyday like your last.

aha yes
but if u were to live evry day like ur last u would want to live that day to ur fullest and if an opportunity arose that mite not be so orthodox - by livin evry day like ur last - theres no doubt in my mind that u would harness such an opportunity and see it to its complete finish though it may put u at bad terms wit the big man

Yes, perhaps living your last day would include as much enjoyment as possible. For me, however, I think the wisest choice is spending that last day making sure that an eternity in paradise is secured. Your idea of "living life to the fullest" is basically experiencing as much momentary pleasure as possible, and you don't care much what the consequences are. Think of it this way, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Do what ever you'd like to do, Danny, but realize, you'll be paying for it somehow or another, whether it be in this life or the next. I'd rather save myself from getting too deep in debt by avoiding sin as much as possible, as well as repenting when I do. That seems far more beneficial than some fleeting satisfaction acheived by doing a deed looked down upon by God ( ... )
