Okay...12 Days in. I definitely like it here, but I really miss the convenience of everything in the US. THings are more complicated here. No Walmart, no internet in my room...no big grocery stores in a close proximity. It's just weird. But it's cool too, and the McFlurry's are SOOOO good. I've had 3 since I've been here which averages about one every 4 days...which isn't really good. But who cares...get over it.

My classes are going pretty good. Today I had my three English classes. First class (Modernism in Lit) is a joke...we were assigned to find a quote in our book and he's like "Ok we'll read over our quotes...if you don't have one that's fine." And then we were reading Mrs. Dalloway and he's like you don't have to finish it. Essentially we didn't have to read any of it at all. I think I'm still going to try to read the rest if I have time to. My goal this semester is to actually learn things and finish a few assigned books. We'll see about that.

My next class was British Lit II. Good class. We jump around a lot and discuss books we won't even be reading but it's cool, and the teacher is the quirkiest lady I've ever seen in my life. She doesn't wear a bra ever and...she really needs to. It's..umm...interesting.

Final class of the day was Fiction Writing. Not so sure I'm going to like this one. It just seems very silly. But we'll see. At the start of class we had to go around the circle and say what our method of procrastination was. I said it was checking away message religiously on aim...but that won't be a problem here as I won't be having internet access in my room. Later in class we had to write a story using the first line "It was a dark and stormy night." which was cool in a way but we didn't have nearly enough time to get something substantial. so it seemed like kind of a waste of time to me.

ANyway...tomorrow I have only one class, Contemporary London theatre. and tomorrow night we're going to the Globe to see A Winters Tale. I don't know anything about this play so I hope I can follow it. Maybe I'll read spark notes before I go to make sure I can handle it.

This past weekend I went to Windsor Castle and Stratford Upon Avon...so I'm kinda shakespeared out...I hope I don't have to read any of his stuff this semester. Check out my pictures of this and the rest of my london experience this far!

Hope everyone's doing good....don't know if anyone actually reads this anymore but I still like to write in it anyway :)
