... Out of morbid curiosity, could you tell me where you saw the smoke plumes? Someone should probably check and make sure that's all they are.

I've seen two. One was near the barracks, the other close to the forest. However, there may have been more, considering the amount of people flying through the sky.

I'll go have a look at the barracks... hopefully whatever caused it has been extinguished already.

And I will visit the place where I saw the second smoke plume. In case of anything being left from the fire, bring water with you.

A valid point. I have been affected, yet I still have a strong grasp of myself. While the power I have been granted may not contribute towards keeping the balance within the village, I may be able to subdue those whose minds are too far gone.

I'd say I hope it doesn't come to that, but I doubt it can be avoided. I'm unaffected so far... I only hope I can hold on to myself if I become so.

I'm capable of using all of them, but I tend to wield lightning the most.

That is the element I wield at this moment. I've not seen someone completely ensnared by it, so I am unsure of its full effects...

What is known of the personality of the spirit in question?

I've never made contact with the spirit of lightning. However, from the small changes that have come over my mind... I feel more headstrong and quick to find whatever is causing trouble.
