This was taking 'burden of your past' to new levels.
Every bone hurt. Every muscle strained. Even sitting on the couch - which itself was quite pleasant - did nothing to ease all the aching in his joints. There were plenty of times where the Doctor felt old but this was just painful. He could hear a strange, almost 'click' sound that told him his hearts weren't handling the aging well. Then again, he doubted any of his organs were. Breathing certainly felt harder than usual.
He let his body relax against the cushioned backing. It was a nice cell, at least. A sort of living room/sitting room area. Nothing dangerous or interesting in it, of course. But it was comfortable for now. It wouldn't last long, he supposed.
The Master's reign had only just begun. Everyone was still settling in, getting into their places and setting up the Valiant to be the center of a new empire. Martha probably hadn't even started her journey yet, now that he thought about it. The dust was still up in the air.
The Doctor just had to take a deep breath for now and wait to see where the dust fell.
