Pressing Issues of the Day

1. Does it matter which charity you give to in the wake of the Haiti earthquake?

Is it better to give to one org or give smaller amounts to several?

2. Old copies of The New Yorker: keep or recycle?

I have the eight-DVD set with the entire history on disk, but what about the pretty covers? The cartoons? And all the years that have passed since the disk thingie was issued? Do I spend time finding updates which may or may not work when the apocalypse comes and we have no electricity? Is keeping the hard copies an exhausting, soul-draining form of hoarding and misplaced priorities, or reverence for the printed word? *conflicted*

3. My closet.

Do I fill in the end wall with shelves, increasing organization and storage, but losing the peace & whiteness of a blank wall? Or do I leave the wall blank (actually, it had kids art on it) and seek other places to stash stuff? Closets are not infinite, not even mine.
