This is stolen from a comment on Bob Bausch's Facebook page, a comment by his brother Richard.
"George Garrett--the great George Garrett--was once told by a publisher that his great Elizabethan novel DEATH OF THE FOX would be something he might publish if George 'changed all the words.' That's an exact quote. A writer's life is spent, largely, trying to prove his/her talent to people who have no talent."
Reminds me of that line in "Amadeus" where the guy complains about Mozart that he uses "too many notes."
