(no subject)
this past week has gone by extremely fast prolly because i've been so busy compared to usual. monday thru thursday this past week i had band camp. we worked a lot on memorizing and learning the music and none on marching, so that means that next week we have to come in again to work on marching, yuck. i like the music pretty well, its catchy and i have a solo and a couple of glissandos that are fun to play. the marching is gonna be a lot harder this year than in years past. for example, in years past marching shows have consisted of like 6-10 moves max. this year the first song of three has 14 moves, and most of them are abstract shapes that have no geometric pattern whatsoever. its gonna take alot of effort and even more for me seeing how i'm a "squad leader" and have to teach the freshimans how to march. even though it'll be alot of work, maybe it'll be worth it to "go out with a bang"
Band camp went on from 9-12 everyday and after that was done i went to richards to play mario golf. it's a pretty fun game, i think i'm gonna buy it seeing how i've got a game cube again. i bought justin's off him after "barrowing" it for like 6 months. i've been goin crazy buyin games. i've had it for three days and already have medal of honor and crazy taxi, which came with it, blitz, hitz, resident evil, and resident evil zero. i also bought skys of arcadia for quentin cuz he'll be gone when it's his birthday so i figured i'd buy him something now so i wouldn't have to mail it to him. so in short i've dropped well over 200 bucks on video games the last week, good thing i have a job.
me and quentin went in together to buy darrel, my youth minister, some new darts, tips, and washers for his birthday tomorrow, we're impatient so we gave his gift to him on friday, impatience prolly had something to do with que getting his b-day present a month early too, que, darrel, and i have been playing darts together a bit recently and q and i have yet to beat darrel so we've got a personal goal to reach by the summers end.
i saw lord of the rings on dvd yesterday two weeks before it comes out, rachel got me the hook up cuz shes the best sister a guy could ever have =) theres a big long list of people that are barrowin it before she takes it back on friday, shameless the way people are using her they should be more like me+P. i also, went and saw Freaky Friday with the youth group and it was definitely better than i ever expected, no two towers, but it beat my low expectations by quite a bit.
before the movie the youth group went to monicals for pizza and we ordered two pizza deals where you get the big bowl of salad, soda and pizza. well the salads came and hardly anyone had any out of the bowl on my table, so darrel jokingly bet me that i couldn't finish off the giant bowl of salad that one person had taken a little bit of salad from. well let me tell you, blake tankahan kennedy NEVER backs down from a reasonable challenge, so i tackled the giant salad, bowl by bowl, until it was no more. i prolly ate about 10-15 bowls of salad and as i was finishing that, everyone had had their fill of pizza and there was like 8 peices of that left so darrel once again challenged me to eat that expecting me not to, but i went thru with it and finshed the pizza too, i felt pretty damn accomplished, but needless to say i didn't feel too good during the movie.
tonite, i had originally planned to go to the cabin thing with quentin, though i'm not sure what it is, but plans for that fell through so we went bowling instead along with brett kendall lindsay madison and richard. we wnt to the glow bowl thing at mt hawley and that was quite enjoyable despite the fact i didn't bowl none too good
i'm sure theres stuff that happened that i'm forgetting but oh well, i'm tired and you're tired so lets all just go to sleep.
