(no subject)
So i have been officially done with school for about a month now, i did about two full weeks of sitting around and doing absolutly nothing and it was wonderful. I haven't done nothing for a period of time like that in about 6 years, it was good and bad. I got real bored at times. But since then, i have talked to 5 photographers in rochester and shown my portfolio to 5-6 people and they like it alot. Though showing my portfolio to people doesn't really help with me getting a job. I mean i have to assist photographers for about 1-2 years and learn the stuff that i didn't learn in school, and then after that i can start taking the actual photographs.
My first day of assisting for a photograper named John Myers consisted of me wrapping gifts for their clients, and then decorating their x-mas tree, and various other things. but hey if they want to pay me $120 a day to do that its fine with me.
But things are picking up, i assited at the same place today for another photographer named grant, and i helped with a photoshoot for a new phone/text/camera thingy that will be out spring of 2005, we had to shoot teenagers with the thingy like laughing and making seem like it was really COOL. I learned alot, but i'm real tired.
Last saturday i went to a show here in rochester, saw breather resist, and got to see my friend steve whom i haven't seen in about 3 years. It was reall good to see him. and his band is reall good live, also saw engineer and they we real good, another breath played and they were ok, sounded very similar to other bands, but its good to hear some bands talk about things between songs. saw failure union from buff, they were very enjoyable, and Jason kyles beard was amazing, and also saw no idols and they were very enjoyable too.
