Monthly update time!
I mean, I don't really have anything to talk about, but it's still happening (and I've been obsessed with this gif lately) so here we go. I'll go for a list format to try and make this more organized.
1. This summer had ended with me buying into one of my Mom's favorite things-- the show Big Brother. She's been watching it since it started in the US and I always dismissed it, but she got me started on it and now I watch it constantly, with the live feeds and stuff. This season is pretty boring honestly, but I've enjoyed it. I've spent a lot of time over on
ontdbb ripping on stuff and loving certain houseguests and it's been a lot of fun. It's something to do, which I so desperately needed. A chance to chat with people and have that collective experience again. It was fun. It makes me miss fandom honestly.
2. I've finally hit the point of not being instantly upset when I get into a conversation about my old job at Toy Story and stuff. I don't know when that actually happened, I might have just noticed, but I don't feel so agitated anymore about that or the idea of going back to Orlando for a visit. I also didn't feel annoyed when my mother brought up that someone asked her if I worked there (that used to bug me weirdly, I guess the thought of having to talk about it if I ran into them myself). I never want to move back, ever. But I'd be okay with visiting for a few days, just to see people pretty much. I'd go to the parks if I had the chance (I'd rather do Universal tbh), but it doesn't really matter to me. I'm looking to see friends. I don't plan to do this anytime soon, but if I get an opportunity in the future I might take it.
3. Uh, I have a Kindle Fire now? Is that news? I don't know. I like having an e-reader more than I thought i would. I love bookstores, but it's just so convenient to have my library in my hand. I'm not going to get rid of the books I have of course, but to be able to have a lot of books and not take up a ton of space is such a nice thing after moving books so many times from apartment to apartment and state to state.
4. Christmas is coming. I am trying to think about what to get for people. It's September. Oy.
That's it for right now! In summation, nothing interesting's going on, but I'm still alive. Basically.
