I've been thinking a lot about my move back to PA.
I wouldn't call myself excited, but I'm ready to step back and re-assess for a while.
Plans (at this point) call for me to move home in early December. I want to try and avoid major PA winter weather conditions (yipes), but not leave *too* early on my lease. I had thought about doing it in November, but no, I think I like December better. My lease is up at the end of December; I feel like the beginning of the month is a compromise. I'm thinking the Tuesday or Wednesday after Thanksgiving, to try and avoid the major holiday rush.
It'll be roughly $360 or so for my train ticket, plus a good $50-$60 (estimating) for gas from VA to PA. The site I looked at estimated around $40, but you know, that can change real quick.
Oh, and probably a zillion dollars in car repairs that I'm still avoiding. Heh. ._.
I've started packing a little bit, which is weird. Just some books and stuff. It makes me feel good to get started, even though I'm not leaving for 100+ days. I'm ready, man.
I'm thinking that my last week at Disney will be the week of Thanksgiving, that Saturday. Gets me a little bit of holiday pay before I go home, you know? A little extra couldn't hurt. Not that I plan to work a ton of hours that week if I can avoid it, but ya know. And, hell, a holiday week at Toy will definitely make me ready to go home, hahaha.
A TON of my friends from Toy are transferring to new areas soon. It makes me incredibly sad. Others were let go for different reasons. It sucks. I will miss them so much. The people make Toy, and without them, I don't know what will happen.
I'm trying to pick up extra hours piecemeal to start covering payments, but meh, not going so well. I kind of called in (again...) yesterday, since I had one extra vacation day. lalala. I used to regret things like that, but now I'm just like "no fucks!" and go about my business. My work ethic has left me. That's bothersome. Plus, I ERed a couple of hours today (it's my Friday, I wanted to leave! I do this weekly. XD) But I picked a long shift for Wednesday (14.5 hours, eep), so there's that. We'll see how it goes, I guess. I haven't done it in quite awhile!
September is my workhorse month. I've signed up for extra hours for the first two weeks, and plan to do it for the last two. I'm hoping that if I bust my ass in that month, I can chill more in October, enjoy the fall around WDW, and start planning my departure. It's a crap shoot, but man, I'm hoping things start to work out.
