The world hasn't ended!
Been very quiet in my LJ land recently.
Heard nothing back on the job, though I was told I'd hear by yesterday. Heh. All signs point to failure. Alas, I shall live. RFC has been extremely bland and unusually peaceful the past couple of weeks, so it's been bearable. Keep marching on and all that.
I learned today that I won't be pelted with tomatoes if I dare leave the house in a sleeveless outfit. Been reading a lot of blogs recently about body acceptance and all that, so I decided to be bold and go to DHS in a cute little dress that I've always covered up because I've felt self-conscious. Wore it proudly today and felt good. Played at the park with animekatie. Drew a couple of characters (a Little Green Man and Dale), finally rode the new Star Tours twice (verdict: wasn't a big fan of the original one, but I LOVED this), rode Tower and Coaster, and spent probably an hour in the middle of the evening sitting at Backlot Express and just chatting. Great times were had. Also attending Food and Wine for a few hours tomorrow, with red_ellie. Planning on wearing yet another sleeveless ensemble that's scared me in the past. Take that, issues. GTFO. it's a process D:
I think I'm going to go shopping on the cheap tomorrow. I bought these teggings the other day, and they arrived... and nothing I have really works with them. Hmmm. Need clothes. Ross, here I come. Also tempted to buy some orange ones so I can develop a Halloween "outfit" for the occasion. /boldness.
Erm, yeah. That's my life at the moment. Good times. Probably going to wake up early tomorrow, since they're doing the annual sprinkler/AC inspection at the apartment complex and I don't want to be waken up by the sound of strange men in my home. :| My room is messy right now, but fuck it, there's a path to the sprinkler, what more do they want?
