She takes another mornin' drive
She wonders if she's right this time
She dreams about a life in other scenes
- Ingram Hill- "Never Be the Same"
My life is so testosterone-filled! <3 And I love it. Saturday morning, I awoke to find my lover (Ryan) still online and talked to him, was driven to Universal by Joe da Jew, met up with Stephen (who Joe and I hadn't seen since middle school), was called by Josh (who wanted me to watch hockey with him), and later on called by Paul (who wondered if I wanted to play poker). I didn't talk to any girls that I know yesterday. Thrill rides, hockey, and poker, mmm.
So my friend, Stephen, works at Universal, and not only got us in for free, but also got a bunch of free Express passes for us. We never had to wait in a long line. When we ran out of passes, Stephen (who got promoted to being a supervisor at Back to the Future) had a manager call over to E.T. and reserve 3 spots in an Express line for us. Joe wanted E.T. to call him "Mufasa," which would have been awesome... but didn't work. Oh! And we were going to wait in the 30 minute Jaws line and then a guy working at the Express line (upon seeing my UCF shirt) called out to me "is it just the 3 of you?" and I said "yes" and he was like "okay, come in here... you go to UCF and so do I" :)
Here's pretty much what we ran around and did all day:
Back to the Future: 2 times
Men in Black: 1 time
Mummy: 2 times
Earthquake: 1 time
Jimmy Neutron: 1 time
Jaws: 1 time
Poseidon's Fury (AWESOME water arch-tunnel thing): 1 time
Dueling Dragons: 1 time on fire (we got stuck for about 2 nervous minutes going UP on the first slope (my one fear on roller coasters... having to walk down the stairs) and 1 time on ice
Hulk: 2 times (pure insanity)
Cat in the Hat ride: 1 time (never to be missed!)
Spiderman: 1 time (I survived! With the 3-D glasses ON the whole time!)
Mardi Gras was sooo fun. It's definitely my favorite drunken holiday. I love the colors (purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power) and the spirit and the food (even though I didn't have any of the food). So funny/annoying to see huge scary drunk men fight each other for beads that short people can't reach! And... Huey Lewis and the News was so crazy-exciting! I was like... dying on my feet for most of the time since we had been walking/standing for nearly 14 hours straight... but it was still fun to watch plenty of stilt people, and to be happy for all of the 80s-lover-people reliving memories, even though I felt a bit out of place. I LOVE saxaphones and harmonicas, so even the songs I didn't know (which was most of the songs) it was still fun to listen to. And they did some pretty nifty acapella stuff.
I'll put some pictures up later, once I finish my English homework.
Also, Ingram Hill will be in Georgia (opening for Switchfoot) on April 30th. Road trip, anyone? =/
