Poffertjes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been very busy. In some ways I like it as I get more stuff done. However I like lounging about doing sod all too so it is upsetting that I don't have that anymore.
On Sunday we went to Waitrose to look at foodporn. It was good. It kind of pisses me off a bit sometimes that my flatmates aren't a bit more daring with food. All of them hate shellfish of any type (even prawns), but like scampi, which baffles me. Two of them don't eat fish either, when it is so lekker. Although I suppose I could just make stuff for myself, it's a bit lonely eating a proper meal when they are all on the pasta. I don't like pasta as it is so bloody boring!
This week I have been going to the National Museum a lot as we are observing there for our anthropology project. We saw something quite exciting, the security guards were getting agitated about something, and we hoped something big was going to happen. Instead, they had noticed a kid throw a rock from the plant pot into the fish pond, so they went to get a grabber to get it out, only for a guy from the backroom staff to sneak out into the foyer and get the rock out using HIS BARE HANDS! It's crazy in there sometimes...!
Yesterday I went to Princes Street for some late night shopping. There was a market thing on, and I tried various salamis and dubious french mayonnaises. However, far and away the best stall, was the poffertjes stand! They were offering all sorts of crazy toppings, but went for good old butter and icing sugar, so so so so so so so lekker.
Tonight it is my flatmate's birthday/housewarming. It will be good although I am hiding the bottle of Bombay Sapphire we have as that is for discerning gin drinkers only...
