open border and legal pot
i've had a good week spent with my boys over dinner. The other night, zach and i discussed the open border. and...let's see...border should be open, pot and prostitution should be legal, and cigs should be illegal. apparently, he thinks cigarettes cause more second hand smoke than pot--gee, but would that be the case if everybody and their dog were exhaling pot? oh, and pot's more healthy because it doesn't cause liver damage and is pure plant instead of all those chemicals.
the logic of a 17-year old. when i asked about all the people that would go on welfare, he said, they can just work the jobs no one wants here, but can't get benefits. hmmm....i asked about the woman that came crawling in after being shot, bleeding to death--gonna turn her away??? uhhh, wellll....
of course, i don't have the answers...so maybe santa will bring us "lockout: why america keeps getting immigration wrong."
