You know what really gets me. That justice is so unjust. That people can be so prejudice when uneducated. Let me explain...
My first car was totaled by a drunk driver that was (1) speeding, (2) running a stop sign, (3) and drunk off his ass!! This man spent the night in jail and was back out on the street the next day. He hurt me and the driver in front of me. Nothing major just cuts and scrapes. Now, if I were to go out and break someone’s finger, whether accidental or otherwise, I would be held liable. Even better, if I had assaulted someone, causing the same injuries, they could have me locked up. Not in the case of a drunk driver.
My next car was also hit by a drunk driver. This guy had full coverage. I was young and was told that GAP insurance was illegal and that I could not receive it. So this guy got away as well. Bullshit!
Now, six years later, I get hit by yet another. This guy is being charged with a DUI and being sued. Uneducated fools around me (many of which drive drunk) are telling me that I am using the system.
This is where I come back. When someone robs a house and shoots at someone and it goes through the next doors house and kill someone’s daughter, does that make them less of a killer? So why is it that when a person willingly gets into a vehicle drunk, then injures or kills someone, the person that was injured is wrong for pressing charges?
Am I Wrong?
