Cute, awkward, musical 20-something British boys are my weakness...
Click to viewLast Thursday I went to see Bobby Long in concert...he is basically just a cute awkward musical 20-something British boy with a guitar who has a bit of a following thanks to his Twilight connection: he co-wrote the song "Let Me Sign" that Robert Pattinson sings in the movie. And he is good friends with RP and they have a little group of musical friends who are all quite talented.
So he was in San Diego and I went to see him play. He was just lovely....gorgeous big voice with some wonderful growl-effects and his guitar playing was simply astonishing. I love that style of guitar--the fast picking with background bass that makes it sound like there are several guitars playing even though it is just him alone. Amazing. And he was classically self-depricating and shy and altogether adorable. Definitely go see him if he comes to your town.
(and I know nothing about British accents but I LOVE his accent...very very thick. I wonder what region it is that makes it so thick...hmmmm, must find out...)
