Contemplating some new ink
I have been obsessing about getting a new tattoo. I only have one tiny purple OM symbol on my lower back that I've had since I was 19 (and before people knew what it was, yoga wasn't popular then and it was very meaningful to me given my spiritual background, and still is.) (I only say this because I feel a little lame when in a physical yoga class and I'm not an expert but have the tattoo, it means so much more than physical yoga.)
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I would like to expand my tattoo by surrounding the OM with some plumeria. Plumeria are an obsession of mine and my husbands. We love it so much, and have even mailed ourselves cuttings from Hawaii when we are there. We have about 25 plants and we go to shows and stuff. We adore Hawaii and love the fragrance of plumeria and it would be something I don't think I would regret putting on my body if done right.
The thing is, I'm older now and quite a perfectionist about such things and want a really great tattoo artist. But most ot the really good people do these insane huge tattoos and I don't know if they would put me on their year long waiting list for a little plumeria. But maybe they will.
