My grandma accepted a blood transfusion. She's feeling pretty good, but she's not getting better really. Supposidly it's still a matter of time but it is just being more drawn out. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
On one hand my grandma is really admirable and a cool person so I don't want her to die. On the other hand this is stressing out my whole family to some degree and we're all sitting on pins and needles.
Thanks for the Prayers
Rachelle

My Grandma was the first generation born in america. Her parents were born in Russia. They were part of the german towns there. See Peter the Great married Cathrine of Germany, so when she got homesick he moved a bunch of german people to move to Russia and set up german villages. This way Catherine could go and visit the villages and feel at home. My ancestors moved to Russia around 1700, my great grandparents left around 1920.
My grandma grew up in MN and married my grandpa. They had 4 childern and then my grandpa died of a heart attack, two days after my dad's 5 b-day. My grandma decided to go to work, and she continued working till she was 65 or so. She got married for a short time, but the guy turned out to be a real jerk so she divorced him. She continued to solely support her family of five children. At this point, she moved my dad and his siblings close to her own parents for help.
She was a strong woman who raised her children and stayed off wellfare at a time when that was a much more difficult task. She is a stubborn strong and determined lady who was very active until she got sick.
