Ok I must say that working out at NASA is the coolest thing. From the badges I wear to the totally empty beaches. Josh and I did some exploring and there is just so much land out here. They have some museums and stuff that are closed to the public also. You can get pretty close to the launch pads and stuff too.
I watched Discovery go back in the VAB a couple weeks ago. It was right there(like 25 yards away) and so huge. It was totally awesome. And I should be badged for the launch so I can be on base. We'll all probably go out to the 3 mile limit to watch it if we can.
Amy and I went to the OnC for lunch today and we past by the mission briefing room. That is the room where the Astronunts and other people get briefed for missions (I think). And we went into a cafeteria and thought about how many famous people include probably all the astronunts ate in that place. Amy is having coffee with Jim Kennedy this week probably. She and Vance(2 interns)met him at a BBQ last friday and he asked them to have coffee... My mind nearly exploded... Coffee with the Director of KSC. How cool is that.
NASA quirk #1: They abrrivate EVERYTHING!!! It's so ridiculous.
NASA quirk #2: All the older buildings are totally dated to the 60s. It really looks like the old movies.
