Ok, This is catch up time, I know I'm back dating these, kinda cheating, but at least it'll make clear what day I'm talking about. On this day, tuesday, I flew from orlando to portland. I had a grand old time, one of the most relaxing days I've had lately, you may think me sarcastic, but I'm not. After the boring lines and such were done, I just read and talked to some people, and then got on the first flight( which made me a bit nervous cause everyone was taling about going to san antonio, but I wasn't on a flight to san antonio, but to phoenix, what I didn't know was we stopped there to pick up more people, and phoenix was where I got off and changed planes, but let me tell you it did make me worry a bit, but just a bit, I figured it was just how they routed things and I was right, luckily :) The only thing I was afraid of what that I'd walk up to the gate (the plane was late) and find out my flight had just left from another one.
Anyway, I just layed back, relaxed, prayed through anything that was bothering me at all, and just drifted in and out of sleep, mostly just totally relaxed and not moving, doing and thinking not really anything. I was completely at peace. Then we were in san antonio (I enjoyed all the take offs and landings and views of the cities) where a high school student named Calvin got on and we talked a bit throughout, nice guy, wide receiver at a irish catholic school in seattle going from his dad's house to his mom's house. (a lof of people do christmas in one place and new years in another, like me). He had some intersting theological views too, all the usual expalantions about the bible being myth, or exagerated (they always did it like that back then they say) and this one about how the plagues of egypt can be explained away.) Anyway, I tossed him what I had to say, no point debating, but just skip to the deeper issues of faith and leave off with that. Anyway, we talked about different things. Then I read Waking the Dead the rest of the flight and prayed and that was really good. I was still really at peace from the first flight and felt a lot in prayer this time. I'm nearly done with Waking the Dead.
Then I changed planes and was next to a lady named judy. I almost didn't talk to her, but then I did and she ended up being an organizer and support from the US for YWAM (youth with a mission), so she was the strategist for the misssions in tanzania. We talked for about an hour and a half and covered about everything about the church and people and faith and missions, the future, annointing on the youth, christian men, etc. Then I finished my chapter by mr Eldridge (waking the dead) just in time for the landing approach which was beautiful.
Then I got my baggage, found rachelle, and we had a lovely dinner with her family and Stafford and Nancy Hazlet. Then that night Joe came over and the three of us went to the Pied Cow, a ecletic coffee house in the middle of portland made out of an old victorian house (a lot of the things and people here are very pretty, interesting, varied, artsy, and ecletic). Ok, that's that long day, it took me 12hrs from going in orlando to leaving pdx, but it was all good, and I ate my 5 bags of penuts and 3.5 bags of ritz sticks, along with some candy I brought :) God bless.
