Just be a Poet about it [fall down on your knees]

the geese cry out despite the wind and the dark. Mariza says: you cannot see them-- but you can through their calls I reply. She opens the door to the porch and all of winter slips in, the night, the crystal snow and lone train light breaking through the loud blanket the geese wove. I throw a purple and white blanket over myself and her too. Cry out and smile at them--up there.

The snow is insistent today, glad to have bicycled the past two nights before this. My window is a frame for a tree that reaches lower and higher than the glass. I am talking to Cindy who taught Making Memory in the spring, she surprised me by telling me without asking that her partner of 14 years broke up with her during the spring. I sent her Derek Walcott's "Love After Love." Goddess, Caitlin, Mai, ,Jaq, Nan, Cindy.. so many hearts trudging toward themselves this past summer. The beached whale muscle shoring against the chest.

Al is back, thanked me for my faith in her[ I said--If you had faith that the homeless throngs of SanFran would not swallow me-- My faith in you is only matching]

Sean attacked me last time I took care of him, the autism meds are failing and the aggression is scary. His father asked me if I'm coming back-- how could I not? Attachment.
Speaking of-- Lulu and Lorraina package almost complete: windchimes, zebra hand drum, coyote story,"I Spy" cut outs I collected, stickers, and maybe Lavender for Anne.
Now I am making mix cds for Ana, Amelie, and V and KT, watching Karate Kid and Batman and Robin--god how majestic is old school Batman?

I miss Mai, Rimas, Aisha and Vega. Gifts of travel and heart stretching but here, I have been sucked into the land of Russian cartoons/children's animation and I'm not coming out:
