Slow day.

It's really just been another day at the office. We're back to doing things that don't require as much legwork, and require a lot more reading. Which, honestly, for once I'm fine with. My hand is still achy and my eye looks slightly off.

There's been an unholy consumption of caffeine here today. I think most of us who were working last week completely flipped out our sleep schedules by attempting to make up for 3 days of no sleep with one day of all sleep. Yesterday was nice, though. I was able to finally watch the new Doctor Who (which by the way, I called it. Oh. Yes. I. Did.) and sleep, which is pretty much all I did.

...ugh. The only thing worse than being at the office at midnight is being at the office at noon and having the IT people decide that it's "serenade the building day." It's a regular occasion. They pretend to break something, music manages to find its way out of the speakers. You'd think that because I work where I work, there'd be a bit of dignity or something. But no. We are all apparently childish.

Also childish is this wank. I mean, seriously, anons? I don't like consulting_detective, but I wouldn't accuse him of sleeping around. ESPECIALLY WITH MY BOSS.

Speaking of childish, in a way, there's something that's making me think about doing something I wouldn't do. I have never been able to resist confrontation, especially confrontation that would help me solve something. And I do not take insults about my professionalism well.

I need to head back before the lab boys decide that because we don't have an active case that it's a good day for practical jokes.

doctor who, work, what is this i can't even
