I had one Hellboy pairing on a recent meme - Hellboy/Kate (I'm kinda curious about Anastasia too and I want to buy the Golden novels she's in just to check her out)

I never paid too much attention to the first one when it came out, but then at some point last year it was on cable and I caught a trailer and went "WAIT A MINUTE! THAT'S RON PERLMAN OMG! I NEED TO SEE THIS!" and I was hooked. I saw the second one in theaters three times. It was fun. And I got the DVD, which wasn't easy because I haz no credit card, and getting dollars here is hardand expensive but I got it and it was totally worth it. Not to mention how hooked I'm in the comics... OMG SEE HOW I RAMBLE ABOUT THIS?

Great, now everytime I eat an orange I'll think of Luke Goss. And I have one in my purse right now....

I am v. much not a comics kinda person - it actually drives me nuts because sometimes I am really interested in the stories, but I want the art and the story to be more separate? Like there's this Terry Pratchett novel, The Last Hero, and it's...a novel, but it's illustrated. But you can read the book without looking at the pictures. (I mean, it would be difficult, they are RIGHT THERE, but you...could theoretically do it.) Anyway, that is my ~*PREFERENCE*~. But I have absorbed comics info by osmosis, not unlike a sponge, b/c I know people in the fandom. I may acquire some of the Hellboy ones eventually! I have a frand I met because she was RPing Liz foreverrrrr.

RON PERLMAN ♥ Hahaha I love this one part, he's like, "Are we gonna talk all night? Because I'm really sleepy." For some reason this killed me. I don't even know. (I CAN RAMBLE WITH THE BEST OF THEM, OK ( ... )

I'm not even a comics fans either. Or apparently, I wasn't until I decided to check out Hellboy, because that led to me checking the BPRD comics (Kate Corrigan is my hero) and becoming beyond giddy when Lobster Johnson got his own miniseries (ZOMG HE FIGHTS NAZIS, LOVECRAFT-LIKE MONSTERS AND THE MOB). And then of course I had to check The Amazing Screw-On Head because it was from Mignola. And Batman by Gaslight for the same reason... I THINK I'M TRAPPED.

Ron is amazing and has a really great speaking voice. The way he delivers his lines is... wow! Funny enough, the moment I knew I was hooked on the fandom had no dialogue: it was he steals the beer and goes stand at the hospital fence on the first movie. There was something so endearing about it! Specially after him being so awesome and badass fighting the sammael.

If you think that's messy try a mango. I have special old clothes just to eat those.

Aw, Elves!

ALSO the Christopher Golden novels are A+, Mignola considers them canon.

Oh and, Odd Jobs and Odder Jobs, which are short story collections.

TRIVIA: "Burn, Baby, Burn" is where I get p much all my backstory for Liz. Because Poppy Z Brite is crazy, but she tells a greeeat story.
