movement
I'm soooo tired...
so today was my first day to see the house...exciting...we did two carloads with both Victor and my mom's cars...we have to take everything that can't be packed, is fragile, or just anything else so that it will save the movers time (and our money)...so i got to move all my hanging up clothes, etc. into my new closet! (which is plenty big) so in addition to just moving stuff around all day (and going up and down those stairs like a freakin' million times) i'm also tired because i'm sick...silly friends, spreading their germs onto me...gahhh...it takes so much effort to like, lift my arm right now...but anyways, so when we got to the house and after we had unpacked our first load, we pulled out a bottle of champagne and toasted to our new house (the three of us easily finishing off the bottle)! We also discovered today that we sorta know both of our next door neighbors...heh, that's Nashville...oh, oh, and later, being the thrifty gal that i am...so my mom tells me that the girls (being the two previous owners which were petite young architecture students) had thrown out a bunch of stuff in the trashcans in the alley (my mom having gone out there yesterday and found a few things)...so, a little bored, i go out to the alley to see what i can find...and what do i find?...like 3 shirts and 2 pants and some perfume and a cool pen! i came back to the house and i was like, "mom, you didn't tell me there were clothes out there!!!" so with the girls being just my size and all i was quite pleased. haha, Victor, on the contrary, finds the girls to be utter idiots (perhaps architects, but certainly not carpenters) based on some of the things they did with the house.
There is still like a whole lot of things on/in the house that have to be dealt with/built...so the next few months are gonna be pretty hectic in that department. We have to glaze windows, build a garage, open a window into french doors, build a screened in deck/porch of some sort, put a phone line to the upstairs (meaning my computer gets no internet for a bit), fix/level dirt in the basement, make my jacouzzi usable, change some light fixtures, and more...at least we aren't painting...
