Breathing PG-13 | EunHae | AU; Friendship; Angst Summary: In which Donghae doesn’t demand and Hyukjae does the choosing. A/N: It might or might not be about the great zombie apocalypse.
It's always easier to run, hide or ignore what's nibbling at your conscious, but when you finally do confront the issue, it may be difficult at first as you realize the hurt that you may have inadvertently caused, but you will hopefully end up feeling good for doing what you should have done from the start. I'm glad that Hyukjae finally went back home to Donghae. Hyuk might have been conflicted about his feelings, but he should have remembered that they were friends from the start and that Hae needs him as he's battling his illness. If anything Hyuk should have felt most guilty about letting his friend deal with his pain and reality alone.
Thank goodness for Sungmin for being there for Hae and for having the good sense to verbally kick Hyuk's ass to snap him back to reality.
Hyuk and Hae might not have a lengthy future together, but like Hae's mom said, she's happy for the time that she does have with him. Hyuk better tell Hae that he loves him because he might not have a lot of time left. Even Hyuk's nonsense girlfriend knows that much.
I hope that they have a good life together and spend that time wisely.

Also, yes, thanks for pointing that out - Donghae has always been home for Hyukjae, and I doubt if that ever will change.
