Room 438, Satuday morning
Tom woke up in a strange room, disoriented, confused and in pain. The last thing he remembered was being in the mine, trying desperately to convince Sarah that Axel was the killer. There was something else, something vague, blurry.... had Harry Warden showed up? The paralyzing fear he could remember seemed to suggest he had. Maybe Axel hadn't been the killer after all. Maybe it really had been Harry back from the grave.
But try as he might, Tom couldn't remember exactly what had happened after that. And he had no idea how he had got to... wherever he was now, or why he felt like he'd been in a cave-in or why -- he looked down at his shoulder and the makeshift dressing there -- he'd been shot.
He covered his face with his hands. Great, not only was Warden back and killing people, now he was having blackouts again. All he needed was his father to come through the door and rant about what a disappointment he was and all of the worst things in his life would be happening again.
