Dean had kept both animals in his room last night and had made arrangements with Dawn for her to herd Sammy up here today. She'd called earlier, saying that they'd be up in about half an hour and Dean was putting the time to good use

"Dude, he's going to be living with you and Dawn. He's going to get an eyeful sooner or later."

"That's what the bathroom and play dates with other puppies are for," Dawn said calmly, then, because her curiosity got the better of her, asked, "And wait, Alec really purrs? Does that happen a lot, or just with..."

Sam put his head down, closing his eyes as he wished for temporary deafness. "Oh god, I don't want to know the answer to that question," he moaned.

Shooting his brother a wicked grin, Dean answered Dawn's question. "He realy does purr. But only in... ah.... certain situations."

"Really." Dawn blinked, then grinned slowly as she thought about the implications, and how Sam and Dean both had great hands, and about other things, like on/off switches. "Huh. Good to know."

Sam couldn't help but look at Dawn like she was kind of disturbed. "I'm not going to be able to hear a cat purring without wanting to be sick now. Thank you both so much."

"You're going to hurt Hunter's feelings," Dean told him, picking up his cat and turning him to face Sam. "Can you seriously look at him and say he makes you sick?"

"Okay, that isn't even remotely playing fair," Sam protested, pouting. "No, he doesn't make me sick, but he's not making me think about you doing bad things to Alec right now either."

Dawn looked at him excessively woefully. "No, but I did that. Does that mean I make you sick?"

Ack! "No, of course not," Sam insisted. "You didn't know what kind of an answer Dean was going to give you." Except that she probably did, and seemed to be encouraging him, but he didn't want to say that.

Feeling a little evil, Dawn grinned. "Sure I did. Or I was hoping, anyway."

Sam made another face, this time at Dawn, and pulled Scout closer to himself. "Clearly, Scout is the only one here who's not out to get me," he said.

"I'm not sure how my having a sexlife is me being out to get you," Dean said, smirking.

"You telling me more than I ever need to know about your sex life is you being out to get me," Sam replied.

"I wasn't talking to you," Dean pointed out. "I was talking to your curious girlfriend."

"Well, my curious girlfriend might not be so curious if you wouldn't give her answers when she asks questions like that. No one needs to know about the cat tricks Alec is teaching you except, y'know, you and Alec."
