It's been a busy couple weeks. As some people know, I joined a sorority. I'm a new member of Gamma Phi Beta, which is starting a new chapter at Emory. I went through rush without telling many people and have just been slowly telling people since bid day last weekend. It's been amusing to see how different people respond to it. It's kind of hard to explain what exactly I was thinking going through with it, but I'm really glad I did. I've been so busy that a lot of people, including myself at times, wonder how I have time for it. I decided to do it because I wanted something fun to balance out all of the other time committments that I have. So I'm now in 2 greek organizations (including an officer in one) and working two jobs on top of school. Amazingly I feel more on top of my work than ever, and I have enough time to have a life still. I always seem to be more on top of my school work when I'm busy, so I hope I can keep up with it. Week one of midterms went fine, so now I've got 2 more to get through before Fall Break...yay for 4 day weekends....well kind of seeing that I'll be working Monday and Tuesday, but oh well. I guess I haven't really said why I decided to join Gamma Phi, but I can't say that I completely know. I thought I'd learn a little more about it and next thing I knew I had gone through rush and joined. I've really enjoyed it so far and it's a great group of girls.
