[Well, Reiner didn't check his communicator because of his earlier reading session was interupted by being squirted. After getting some sleep and out of his mummy costume, he headed to the library with a giant stack of books.]

Ah, excuse me... Watch out.

[He would call out as he inched inside the library. Most people would probably think the cursed man couldn't handle the stack due to the bandages wrapped around his hands and arms.]

[To be truthful, Jeremiah didn't notice Reiner until Harpy gave a warning ribbit into the other's direction. Jere turns to see him, only to hesitate and give a small nod. Since he was sitting down in a chair, Jeremiah only slid his feet off the table and sat forward; careful to be out of his way.]

[Harpy threatens to croak again, and Jere just ends up ssshing at the frog.]
