The Vampire Song
I wrote a weirdo love song about vampires.
I really really like it, it's uptempo acoustic guitar rock, sorta Kevin Devine-ish. That's what it reminds me of at least.
I tried to make it as cute as i could, you know..since its about a couple in love..who are facing some problems...namely...the angry horde of villagers trying to stake them..for being vampires. Hahaha.
I think thats sorta what makes it cute too though. I like the idea of a couple bonding through a common tumultous situation. In this case, they're both vampires. Whatever works i guess, lol.
The idea more or less came from my weirdo stoned voyage up and down the blocks around the woods of my house with my lovely superstitious and borderline psychotic ex-gf Nicole. If you dont know who nicle is, u shouldnt be reading this.
Anyway, Nicole is completely superstitious, and always refers to herself as being cursed. Now when IM really stoned, i get superstitious and easily scared. Needless to say these two things acted as catalysts upon one another.
I started to think of Nicole and I as having been vampires in the past...a vampire couple, sorta like Darla and Angel back in the day. Nicole went on and on about how cute it'd be if we were both a married and in love crackhead couple..but i liked my vampire fantasy better.
Either way, thats sorta what the songs about. Its a typical love story..you know..the people are just vampires instead. So once again, yes its about Nicole, but not completely. She's just the girl i used as the model i guess.
Either way, it'll be posted when its done, i'd say sometime within the next two weeks or so.
