what the fuck am I trying to say??!?!?!
I’ve got 4 authors and no damn way to connect them. Damn it! Okay, let me think....Certeau says that pedestrians create a space of enunciation, and that walking, like speech, determines certain thingys and those thingys are what society considers whatever. Some junk like that. Then I’ve got freakin Mrazek. By the way, I hate him. What a confusing bastard. Anyways, he says that the Indonesians did not follow hegemonic society (aka Dutch colonizers!) And therefore were sort of left out of modern society. They did not understand the sacredness of the precious roads and therefore did not treat them the same way that we do today. Roads are thought of as this place only for cars and other technologies, and so that was some drama there in Indonesia, or whatever. Also, Solnit talks about SF and other marches and how marching crosses social boundaries or something. Actually, I don’t even remember if that’s what she fucking says because it’s been so freaking long since I read her article. I hate Certeau by the way, I can’t figure out what to say about him and I don’t even know what to fucking write about. Damn it I just wanna go watch TV or something else brainless. I’m fucking SUCH a lazy American. Oh, and the last author I wanna talk about is Rafael. Cell phones as technologies that help us cross spatial borders. Ummm....yeah, relevance? Well, actually, I guess the fact that the poor people’s revolution for that conservative bastard dictator that brainwashed em all into rallying for him against the democratic middle class “generation text” group shows that if you aren’t “in” with society’s new technologies (ie roads, cell phones, what have you...) You will be ostercized and therefore a fucking helpless bastard. So at least I can compare Rafael’s piece with Mrazek in that in order to succeed in society you need the proper technologies. But how the fuck do I tie in fucking Certeau? Well, if walking is like speech, then communication is key, and in Rafael’s cell phone article, the middle class “generation txt” was able to communicate, and in their marches, they seemed very organized and nonviolent, successful rebellion. On the other hand, the poor people had like shovels and shit and like trampled e/o and were completely unorganized and basically failed, because they did not share the convenient technological help from cell texing like People Power II did! So shall I just fuck Certeau? What does he even SAY? Or is it a she? Michel....????
i don't care if you read this or not, i just needed to clear the fucking storm cloud in my brain and figure out what the fuck i'm gonna write about for my paper. it's due tomorrow and i haven't even started writing anything but my name and the date!!!
