While I'm waiting here...

I am probably too busy to be posting right now, but the bus doesn't come for another 20 minutes.

Yes, I am now a bus-bound college student. I spend about an hour and a half commuting to and from work. Honestly, I can't say that I mind too much... rather than driving, I can spend time chatting with people I wouldn't normally encounter and reading books I wouldn't normally read.

Examples include Ralph Ellison's "Invisible Man" and a biography of Lester Bangs, infamous rock critic (and former Jehovah's Witness).

The semester has reached the stress apex: I have a small mountain of 30 plus pages of formal writing due over the next week. To make matters worse, all of my efforts are up in the air right now: three scholarships (totalling four grand or so), my internship, my graduation audit, and a possible position as an English 1000 student teacher next year. I obsessively check my mail (both snail and electronic) every thirty seconds or so.

On an up note, my grandparents' anniversary is this next weekend. I will get to see family, and the following day, we will begin recording drums for the upcoming Salmon and beastman record. I've got some big plans in the works for this one--some of these include a radio performance and interview, a CD release show, T-shirts (I have been trying to get these for a while, unsuccessfully), and advertisement of the CD in various independent record stores. It will be a busy summer.

I almost forgot: I have never heard Arab Strap before, but I would like to check them out this Sunday after practice (simply because they are drinking buddies with Belle and Sebastian. Pretty lame reason, I know. Could I be more of a pussy?)
