My 4 year old Toshiba laptop started making funny sounds. It sounds like something in it is scratching and clicking, loudly.
I'm pretty sure this is a sign of impending doom, some sort of hardware wear. Fortunately, I have my important files backed up in an external hard drive, and I have my thesis in my flash drive as well.
My roommate has been pretty cool, offering to drive me to the school library and back and to take me to a computer repair center when she comes home from work tomorrow in 2 weeks. I have been backing up extra things like music and other documents in the meantime, but I am not working on my thesis using this computer. Too risky.
In case I should need to buy a new laptop, any suggestions? Something durable and affordable. (so much for saving $ to go to Ecuador post graduation...sniffle)
