Today I had to babysit again. To my tremendous relief, Ben had kindy from 9-12 so I only had to pick him up from there and keep him for the afternoon. I nearly had to drop him off at kindy but somehow got out of that. Thank God. So I drive my newly fixed car to go get him. All the mums stare at me like I'm a child molestorer or with that disapproving 'you're-far-too-young-to-have-kids' look.

Anyway, we go back home where I write my list of things to do for the day which includes: buying a battery for Lauren's car, picking up my meds, washing, banking, calling my dermatologist, picking up a sprinkler and dog collar from Bunnings. Very mumsy errands. I get to the auto shop and buy the battery, go back to my car... It won't start. Now I knew that there was a reason I had to replace the battery last Friday and I was planning to come in for a diagnostic but today was not the day. Still, it was pretty fortunate that my car broke down in front of an auto-electrical workshop, it could have been a lot worse if I had gone to Bunnings first. Turns out it was the alternator that was not charging the battery, which I was really hoping it wouldn't be. They tell me they can fix it in an hour; suddenly I am stuck on the bad end of Winton Rd in Joondalup without a car, and with child.

We treck towards City Farmers, give up halfway and head for the train station. Now by car, this is a very short journey, but by foot it takes the better part of an hour. Did I mention it was hot? We catch the train to Bunnings and waste time there in the air-con. We went to the pet shop nearby to buy a collar. The cheapest one was $8!!! WTF?! It's literally just a piece of string with a buckle. And they had sparkly ones for $65!

Then we caught the train home (sweating balls by this stage). Mum luckily had finished work and was able to come and get us, and drive me back to get my car.

Oh and I called a different derm to the one I normally go to. They booked me in for next week. NEXT WEEK! My original derm made me wait for FOUR MONTHS to get an appointment. I am astounded. I really want to go back on hardcore meds because my skin has flared up like a 16 year old that works in a fish & chip shop. I really cant afford new scars after all I've been through to remove my old ones. My point is that acne sucks and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

I just washed my car too because it was really dirty and I was a bit embarrassed to let someone work on it. Now it is sparkly clean and waxed!
