i've wanted to write a ton lately, as in write write but i've been caught up with being a social human being instead so to keep me in the swing of keeping my phalanges lively and dancin' here's my updater...
went on three job interviews last week. one, possibly two, would require me moving to st louis... which is better than living in mattoon, though i cant say im all the way ready to get up and move again. i feel like i'm that guy that doesn't ever really settle and just bounces around from city to city--which is ideal in the sense that i get to take in new experiences--though also very ...un-ideal (ive no synonym for this right now) in that i do want to find my niche somewhere. I just feel so temporary and i want to shake that from my shoulders. that's a dead horse so i'll move on to...
the shows i saw this weekend!
Friday nite, Canopy Club, Champaign, IL--> Gym Class Heroes (surprisingly terrific), The Academy Is (not-so-great), Midtown (AWFUL) and Fall Out Boy (big letdown!)
Just want to say how much i love FOB... and that maybe a) they're a bad live band or b) the crowd breaking the barracade midway through the second song + additional unknown technical issues were at fault for the ill-fated ensuing show.
Sunday nite, Assembly Hall, Champ., IL--> The Format (much better not-live), Taking Back Sunday (sorely overrated), Jimmy Eat World (also better on the albums)
Yeah... so even though the shows were mediocre I had an incredible time going to them! The great times and convos Po and I have while driving to the shows... mingled with our tone-def renditions of the tracks currently blaring on the speakers... it's Oh-So-Much-Fun! and Punkin... who woulda ever thunk we'd go to ANYTHING music-like together?!
and my ramen is ready.
p.s. its got okra, broccoli, and corn in it. if i hadn't left my peas out overnight... they'd be in there too, bet'cha bottom dollar on it.
