Babbling (this time not about Shakespeare)

The time: Too damn soon.

The place: Traverse City, Michigan.

The reason: Family reunion. (Damn you, Maja. I wrote "Famine reunion" originally. ^_~)

Right. As you may know, I'm several states away and have no plans to come back until August 15th. In the meantime I'm going to be spending time talking, playing Hand and Foot, watching TV, tubing, dressing up and going to dinner, and swimming with my very cool extended family. Net access is still to be had, but far less of it and more sporadic than usual.

My reading material is a little varied... Shakespeare-wise I want to dig into King Lear and As You Like It again, as well as finishing Hamlet and reading Titus Andronicus (yes, yes,
readshakespeareans, I am still planning to). Doctor Faustus needs to be topped off, too, and while I thought my Wilde collection had a copy of Vera, or the Nihilists it really doesn't, so I'll have to hunt one down. And, now that my mom is getting started on Fforde, perhaps I can wrangle her into buying Something Rotten ro4 m3... *grin* I must also remember to re-peruse HBP to prepare for Spoiler. The Vampire Lestat and Morg's VC links need to be attacked, as well... God, I hope I can get Gabrielle in character. Ricean characters are hard to write without the purple prose!

I haven't tubed yet, unfortunately, because today is the first opportunity and it's storming. Normally that wouldn't be such a big deal for me (I've tubed on white caps for thirty minutes straight without capsizing), but I'm not fool enough to go into the lake while there's lightning. I did swim before the storm blew in, for all of half an hour, and I already have tan lines. *g* I love my skin. I think I'll weather out the storm by sitting in the gazebo and writing some for gandsgirl.

To everyone back home (and those that aren't), remember I love you and I miss you. *blows kisses*

DF note: When Spike shows up, I hope he'll be able to do something about Mephisto. Because, I mean, my God. Surprisingly enough, emo!demons are a force to be reckoned with.
