Argh, missed Heroes due to a fire alarm. Don't spoil me, anyone.
Was a rather low-key day. Slept in, stared at pretty icons (and took a few!), went to one class, got chased out of dorm due to drill. It was fun.
The real reason I'm making this post:
I CAN'T BELIEVE I BOUGHT THIS. Assorted songs include: "Basket Case," "Walking Contradiction," and "American Idiot." You should not be able to, over the happy chimes, the calming bass strings, and the xylophone, sing the lyrics "Bite my lip and close my eyes, take me away to paradise / I'm so damn bored I'm going blind and I smell like shit." No way! How fucked up is that baby going to be when he finds out that the song his mother played him before bed every night was about slums and people shooting each other? (The scariest thing? The lullabye "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" may actually win just as much as the original. [Oh God, they have the Cure, the Beatles, Tool, U2, Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Björk, and Metallica. Dear God.])
I also bought Warning and "Disappearing Boy," which are actual Green Day works that I really want.
