Got two academic holds listed today and registered about an hour ago. I'm on cloud nine, I got exactly what I wanted: UFOUND, Comedy, Acting II, and ProPrac. All (except for the required courses) theatre classes! The only downside is that I have exactly 10 minutes for lunch. Ahahaha.
The South Africa trip, for reasons I can't entirely comprehend, is in fact $2000 more expensive than we thought, but the parental units have assured me that I'm going, no matter what. Still. Bugger you, university administration.
Also, in ProPrac today I got to weld for the first time ever. I'm apparently not bad at it-- my vertical welds are better than those of the guy who taught me, but I'm utterly incapable of doing a horizontal weld. And, irritatingly enough, as fun as playing with liquid metal is, somehow a spark got through my mask (or underneath it) and bounced into my throat. Ow.
