Wow, I didn't realize how long it has been since I've posted an entry. I guess a lot has happened in the past couple of months. Pat got married. It was a nice wedding! Of course, I was almost unable to go, because I was rushed to the emergency room the night of their rehearsal dinner. Turns out I had pnemonia, but the doctors didn't know for sure at the time. They didn't want to release me for Pat's wedding, but I put up a fight and signed myself out. The staff was kind enough to inform me that by signing myself out my insurance most likely will not pay for my medical bill. I haven't found out whether or not my insurance will pay for it, but the bill ran up to $5600, which is money I obviously don't have saved up right now. But we'll see how things turn out.
Lily is doing so well! She'll be 7 months this Friday. She loves to laugh and smile. She's the happiest baby I've ever seen. She's not crawling yet. She hates to be on her stomach, because she gets frustrating when she realizes she's not moving anywhere. It's kind of cute actually.
Monica's Salon is having a fundraiser for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina between Noon and 5p.m. Adult haircuts will be $20 and children's haircuts will be $10. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina survivors. I feel so awful for the residents in New Orleans who lost everything in that hurricane. Miguel's lucky; atleast he has a family back in Texas to go home to. The people I really feel sorry for are those who lost everything and have to start all over again. Hopefully they will all get the help that they need. I'm just glad I can contribute in some way, even if it's something little, like giving haircuts to raise money.
I'm hosting a jewelry party at my house this Friday. It should be fun. I have a few people showing up and I'll probably make something to serve as refreshments.
