Obsessive
Lately I have been obsessed with crochet. I have made 5 crocheted dishcloths in the last 2 or 3 days and I'm working on the 6th. Then I crocheted a credit card holder. I really just wanna crochet...all the time. Its a little creepy cause it seems to have just taken me over. I feel as if I have no control over it. But I have really nice dishcloths and tomorrow I'm going to go buy more cotton. YAY! I am considering buying one of each of elann.com's cottons but that kinda breaks my new rule about buying yarn. Don't ask me why the hobby lobby cotton doesn't break that rule, instead you should read the fine print. Haha!
I sold my wheel. I got what I wanted for it, but now I just have to figure out how to ship it really cheap, but secure. Its only going to NC. I wish I was going up there for family visits then I could probably save myself. I know, I'm really lazy.
On Tuesday I went to the minute clinic at CVS. See, I can't just have something wrong and go to the Dr. I have to save up. I wait until I have multiple maladies then I go. This time I got medicine for my pinkie and also got a tetanus shot. Yeah, I totally needed one. Almost every day I go outside and I get a scrape, an ant bite or I fall or something stupid like that. And then of course there was a list of other things like evidently I now have borderline high blood pressure 131/80. Who knew?? Last time I got my pressure checked (wasn't THAT long ago) it was 100/65 or something ridiculously low like that. See, ever since I quit smoking everything has gone to shit!! High blood pressure, overweight, sleepy at 10 pm. Ugh! I feel like I'm reaching middle age. and I'm not even 30!!!!! And she also said I need to get my cholesterol checked cause they go hand in hand. And so I've cut back on the wine and the salt and whatever...blahbity blah blah.........
On a good note.....FIG SEASON IS HERE!!! YAY! I have been picking and eating figs everyday! I just have to remember to get the purl girls some on Saturday. These are the best figs yet! Maybe this weekend I will make some jam. I really want to experiment with drying figs...and candied figs. But, we'll see. It kinda snuck up on me.
Oh...and back to obsessive. I found this Ravelry group called karma yarn swap. Its really fun!! And I get new yarn without breaking my no buying yarn rule. I have to be careful though cause I've spent more than I expected on shipping. But I'm approaching the perfect stash so I might be able to stop swapping....maybe....ok maybe not. Its really fun!!
Alright, I'm tired now and my arm really freaking hurts from the stupid tetanus shot!!
