PR blunder??
They are building this new strip mall near our house. Yesterday they had a press conference at the site to tout how eco friendly and have a minimal environmental impact this new complex will be. To show how they will be eco friendly, they planted a tree. This gesture might have had more of an impact if, they had not done this at a 20 acre site that was clear cutted; and then brought in hundreds of tons of soil to reshape the landscape. Plus the tree they planted isn’t a native species. It looks pretty, but most likely will not survive in this type of soil.
If this is a minimal impact, I hate to see what they call a major one.
