Reasons for choices

Comfort items

People like to use certain things because they like them. It's no mistery that one would wear shoes which are comfortable and fit well. It is a matter of comfort. Buw what if you cannot justify using a particular brand or type of item?
I like to use particular pens because of the way they write - thinly, without smudges or leaks. But why do I pick blue over black?
Should we even try to rationalise our preferences, or is it a task best be left alone? I think that healthy speculation is only in advantage. By figuring out why we like certain things, we can then pick other ones with similar properties, expanding out selection choice. Removing out dependancy on this item. Yes, I like a certain pen manufacturer, but I have found that other certain pen manufacturers are able to closely match my perfect choice, so I will have more to go about when I don't have a choice to make.
