I've reached the conclusion that being a model is going to both require me to be, and/or make me into, the buffest person ever.
I spent three to four hours on Sunday modeling for Henry and Hermione so they could build up their portfolios. I woke up yesterday and found out that every muscle in my body was stiff and sore. It takes a lot of endurance to hold a pose for even five minutes, but ten minutes especially is a killer. I've really got to work up to twenties.
On a brighter note, though, my poses were good, and some good stuff came out of that session. (Note to self: Twisting is important!)
Anyway, the end of semester is slowly approaching, and just as slowly I am catching up with my work. I finished my rough animation yesterday (it wound up better than I thought it would be), so today I go in to start the odious task of clean-up. For those of you who don't know, clean-up requires me to essentially redo my entire animation (which currently is a stack of close to 100 drawings), making sure that the volumes of my characters don't change and that features stay consistent instead of disappearing or sliding around when they shouldn't. Clean-up is a boring and thankless task because the only time you ever notice animation clean-up is when it's done badly.
For those who are interested, here's my final life drawing portfolio for this semester (hiding behind a cut for nudity's sake). Four tens, one five.
