I'm glad there's still love out there for Knockout/Kon - I'll ship Kon with basically anyone but Knockout will always be a favourite.

I started a series once that was supposed to be about Kon and his canon romantic interests but I only got through Kon/Tana and Kon/Knockout. She's just so... awesome. And it's a very different dynamic than most canon pairings get.

Okay, so I'm going to sit hear and point giant Krypto puppy dog eyes at you, because I need you to link me to that!
And yeah, I love the dynamic, particularly the way it grows from playful to very intense. Female villains flirting with male heroes isn't new, but the way the balance of power was very much favouring Knockout and just how far she got Kon to follow her were an interesting change of pace. It's this beautiful marriage of Knockout being hardcore awesome and believably fun and flirtatious and appealing to Kon, and Kon being too trusting and wanting to see the best in her and also just the right shade of hormonal. Perfection.

And yeah. I love unconventional gender rolls, and theirs is a great example of them. I mean, Superboy is very, very male, and he loves posturing and showing it off, but then she can just... wipe the floor with him. And more than that, she's sexually confidant and gorgeous and leads the poor guy around so very easily.... also, she's cool in Secret Six with Scandal. I like her always.

And yes, I love how Knockout gets to act in ways that female characters can't often get away without repercussions or some form of shaming. And that they're both honestly intrigued by each other - Kon because she's so strong and confident and charismatic, and Knockout because he can actually fight her (not necessarily successfully, but he doesn't fall at the first punch) and she's sees the potential in him for more.
