Sorry I haven't been around much this month so far. Last week was, well, A Week, but already things are looking more positive! I'm laughing in the face of life's bullshit, HA HA HA!

But all the little team-at-rest moments were incredible, and something I've been craving since the show started. More of that, and more of them hanging together out of uniform, please!!

THIS. I seriously need more of them hanging out together outside of missions and whatnot. They can be messing around aimlessly in Mount Justice or something, I don't care, JUST GIMME GIMME.

Also, Batdad? So much yes. And I'm really hoping for some more Superman/Superboy interaction. Superman basically cracks me up every time he's on screen with the poor kid. He's so...idek. Awkward and DNW!!! about it all, hahaha. I want more.

I want the episode where Young Justice Go Out For Pizza. Or Young Justice's Laundry Adventures. Or Young Justice And The Case Of The Amusement Park. Anything, just silly fun teenage stuff by way of superhero sidekicks! XD

Batdad is amazing. Especially with Clark being so crap at dealing with Superboy. Clark's all "Umm, yes, nice seeing you, Superboy, but there's, uh, a cat! Stuck up a tree! In France! So I have to, errr, BYE!" And Bruce is all "Robin, lets go for ice cream and talk about our feelings and then I'll buy you a pony!" It's definitely a refreshing change of pace for the Batfamily. :D

I swear, this show is determined to give me a mentor complex. Not a Justice League fetish, but specifically a mentor complex. Because batdaddy!Bruce is all awesome and supportive, and Clark is so failing at dealing with his 'son', and Dinah is so kick-ass amazing, and Ollie is totally treating his falling out with Roy like a break-up/divorce. But Barry hasn't really been in it that much, so I felt safe, but now he's swanning around being pretty and I don't need to have any more messed up ships for this show!!! I blame you and your amazingly dirtybadsinfulhot Barry/Wally fic for this! ;P

Apparently, no matter how old I get, I will always want to be a mermaid. Atlantica Atlantis was gorgeous.

My feelings, exactly. I love mermaids and water-type stuff and this episode was just AHHHHHHHH so much underwater pretty. ;_; <333333 so awesome.

and oh god. Bat-dad bruce. SO ADORABLE.

I don't know how it would work, if they'd have to spend the whole episode in wetsuits or what, but somehow I want Young Justice to visit Atlantis. Just to see their reactions (plus Wally having to control his speed underwater would amuse me). Oh, who am I kidding, I just want an excuse to spend another 22 minutes staring at the pretty scenery! XD

Bruce and Dick totally hugged it out after that basketball game, you just know it.

I liked how the love triangle was handled, but I actually wish they hadn't gone that route in the first ep that focused on Kaldur. :|a Like, I wanted to go more in depth into his background and his motivations and connections so I could get a more real sense of his character, and it was like...romance? Really? >_>a I was really looking forward to how they'd incorporate Garth, too. Not that he was disappointing, I really liked it all, just...gaaah, I would've rather got some flashbacks and hanging-out-as-friends stuff with the trio in Atlantis so I could get invested in these kids' dynamic before jumping ahead to the teen-drama-as-emotional-development. 8|a But! Like I said! I did enjoy that whole part - just wish there'd been more build-up first. |D

I loved the whole segment with Dick and Bruce so hard I can't even akljsdklfdsfds ♥__♥. It's kind of amazing because I know, technically, that in the beginning, before he got all cold and professional and started pushing everyone away, Bruce was a fantastic mentor to Dick and they had a ( ... )

I do know what you mean about the love triangle thing. So far, they're pushing romantic entanglements between the kids a lot more than I thought they would. In a way, it fits with the YJ comics - Cass liked Kon, Kon liked Cissie, Cissie like Tim, Tim liked Kon - but there's a lot of romance stuff set up already, considering there have only been, what, 8 episodes? Pretty much every (teenage) female character introduced has a romantic subplot going on, which can't be said for the male characters. My first reaction to M'gann at the end of the pilot was extremely wary - she barely gets a minute of screentime and a good chunk of that is either Wally flirting with her or her making eyes at Superboy. But I figured I was being paranoid, thinking they were going to focus on romance so heavily with the girls. Turns out, my instincts were right! XD At least the girls are amazing in their own right and have their own personal story arcs being set up as well as the romance stuff or I'd lose faith ( ... )

Okay, first, LMAO about the YJ comics romantic ring XDD. But also, yes, all of this exactly. Aside from Cassie being really into Kon, the romance aspect was pretty downplayed in the comics. I guess that may have to do with the comics series being skewed a little younger, maybe, both in terms of the reading audience and the heroes. And I agree, it's reassuring that all of the cartoon's characters are amazing doing their own thing, but it still seems like an oddly strong focus is being put on it.

...Huh. That is weird - what with the way the teleporter can apparently just zap directly between Atlantis and Mount Justice, one would thing he could just head home to Atlantis every night. 8|a And if those are the reason for doing ( ... )
