Then Fantastic Four 2: Rise Of The Silver, Funky, Emotive But Ultimately Rather Pointless Surfer is The Ben/Johnny Show.

That is all.

Except to say it's just as enjoyably dumb as the first one. Loved it.

I must raise an objection! Spidey 3 was the Peter/Harry/Mary Jane show.

(And I haven't seen Silver Surfer, but more people need to appreciate dumb, fun movies.)

Ah, very true! FF4-2 could also been seen as the Ben/Johnny/Alicia show. Or the Reed/Sue/Johnny show, if you took the supposedly 'brotherly' looks Johnny was using in entirely the wrong way, like I did.

FF4 is secretly one of my favourite rainy day films. The hotness! The action! The lame jokes! I love it to pieces. And all my friends just scoff and say it's dumb. Duh, that's the point!
