I like the contrast between how Natasha was with Maria and then this story. This one she seems much more in control.

It was a lot of fun playing with the different voices over these two fics, with Maria being more aggressive and a little more taciturn, seeing Natasha as a rival and someone to respect, whereas Pepper is more gentle and sees Natasha with more affection and love, and Natasha responding to each accordingly.

OMG, so hot! I love this pairing, there's not nearly enough of it, and Pepper's POV is great - the combination of affection and confusion and the assumption that Natasha will do her job while Pepper does hers.

Also, SO HOT.
