Taadaa - comicdrabbles! It's not officially open yet - the first challenge won't start until Wednesday. But if you'd like to have a look and check out how it'll work, please feel free! (Plus, if I've made any glaring errors, don't hesitate to point them out!)

Again, I definitely would be up for it. :-) I noticed, too, in this post that you're including the movie spinoffs and that sort of thing. What about comics that were spun off of TV series, like Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Would the original versions, the TV shows, be welcomed too? If so, you'd make me a very happy Pirate. :-) I so want to write more Faith and Spike but know little about their comic versions and can no longer get my hands on the actual comics now!

Hmmm, that's a good question, I'd have to have a think about that. I might allow drabbles that are specifically set in the comic universe for comic spin-offs such as Buffy, since those are still implicitly drabbles based on comics and would fit the comm's aim. But allowing drabbles for the original source that inspired the comics probably wouldn't be allowed, I'm afraid. It's just that there are so many huge, expansive fandoms that have comic spin-offs (Buffy, Disney, Firefly, Star Wars, etc) that if I allowed drabbles based on the original source material (tv shows and movies) that it would stop being a comic drabble comm, you know. Have you had a look around for Buffy drabbles comms? Are there any active ones? I'm not really in Buffy fandom (despite loving the show) so I don't know how lively it is, but maybe there are others there who might be interested in a Buffy-specific drabble comm?

Awesome. For now, I'd be eternally grateful to anyone pointing out any glaring mistakes, but once we're up and running, any suggestions for challenge themes or even people volunteering to host challenges would be greatly appreciated! Plus participation, of course, if the challenges spark any ideas. ;D
