Music Man!
Well, the school days were just normal.
On to auditions and such.
I prepared the song "No Business Like Show Business" for auditions. I memorized the second of the two male monologues... it was the interlude of the "You Got Trouble" song in the show.
So I get to auditions Wednesday, and I'm really nervous. I forgot to bring my info sheet up when Mr. Stiles called me up! So I said to myself, alright, time to go. And SNAP. I went right into it. I thought I did well... everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Then we did our songs. Allyson had to leave though after like 3 people sang for band, so Mrs. Vilanni (sp?) had to sight read instead. She wasn't doing well at all, but I got lucky, she actually knew my song. So I put a lot of energy into that.
That night, Becca called me, asking me if I got a call back. A few sentences later, we were hanging up, and another call came in. I picked up that line, and it was Mr. Stiles, giving me a call back! So to call backs I went on Thursday...
We "learned" the beginning of "76 Tromobnes" to sing. All the guys there were: Me, Gerald, O'Dowd, Eric Malone, Jesse DeLozier, Kyle Lang, and Bryan Brubaker. I went up for mine, and kind of forgot the words in the middle of the first verse... but I did put a lot of energy into my singing. Then the girls did their song, then came readings. I thought I did rather well. I thought that leads were going to O'Dowd and Lindsay Griffith though. I thought I would either be in the quartet or Marcellus.
Friday... I was counting down minutes until we arrived in school... We finally got there. I fast walked over, and there's "Harold Hill - Gareth Kafka" at the top of the list. Bam... it was like all feeling was gone. I'M THE LEAD, I'M SO EXCITED!!

I've forgotten some, but it should be a great show, everyone come see it! I believe it's playing on Nov. 18, 19, and 20 during the night, and a matinee on the 20th as well.
