She updated!
Yeah, I actually updated. I'm trying to get back into actually reading LJ and posting on it, among other things.
And, the point of this post is one of the other things. In prep for my drawing course in January and for my own mental health, I'm trying to spend a little creative time everyday. Which besides drawing, might even include some writing. Today's sketch is below, and is for Rhoda.
Over all I'm happy with how it came out. I used a dolphin pic in combination with some Peophin reference pictures for theneptunia. If I let myself, I would still be fiddling with the tail fins and the cloak. I just can't quite figure out how to draw those fins so they look at the right angle. I'm not even going to go into the pain the clock gave me. Surprisingly, Dredd was easy to draw even; though, I had to totally make up the side view of his body. I was too lazy to go slogging through the neopets site looking for a pict that might hold those details. I'm very pleased with the way his wings came out. Of course I omitted the standard tongue hanging out. Dunno why that bothers me Seeing as I'm so please with this, I'm willing to clean it up, ink it and maybe even color it. Rhoda let me know if you want just an inked final version or colored. I might even be convinced to draw a background. *gasp*
